TOP TEN REASON WHY I WILL NOT BE VOTING FOR BARACK OBAMA

#10 THEOLOGY: Frankly, I’m not entirely sure if Barack was schooled in Islam when he was a kid. But add to that the whole Rev. Wright Black Liberation Theology and I start getting worried. When it comes to religion, I’m pretty much a “to each his own” kind of guy, but both of these tidbits make me a tad bit uneasy…

#9 DIVINTY: I am really offended by the whole “Barack is the Messiah” spin. Bull Shit! If you want to pray to a false god, then go right ahead (see my religious beliefs above), but don’t disrespect Jesus Christ by equating a 2-bit, Chicago Democrat-machine, socialist, political, Presidential-wannabe to the Lord Almighty.

#8 ILLEGAL AND IMMORAL: I am tired of the unrelenting inflow of illegal aliens who get medical assistance, educational preferences, and all-around better treatment than the average American veteran… seal the border and stop the flow NOW. Increase the funds for the Border Patrol and the Coast Guard — NOW! If you find armed intruders crossing our borders (typically drug related) — shoot first and ask questions later.

#7 GUILT BY ASSOCIATION: Bill Ayers, the unrepentant academic who desires to control not only the educational system, but also the political system as well. (quite frankly, I’m less concerned about him not serving time for his role in the Weather Underground bombings than I am that he sits in a policy-shaping position in the American educational system)

#6 GREED AND AVARICE: Can you say Freddie and Fannie? The whole thing was one part “Fair Housing” and one part “pay to play” — both time-honored traditions of the liberal Democrats. Not that conservatives don’t get greedy (can you say Duke Cunningham?), but this fiasco is all on the Democrats shoulders or we’d have seen a line of Republicans being grilled on Capital Hill by now.

#5 EDUCATION: I am concerned where Barack and the libs want to take our educational system… I want my kids to learn about Christmas AND Kwanza, not just Kwanza as they do in my elementary school. How about teaching evolution AND creationism?

#4 WAR: can you say foreign affairs NOVICE? I think Joe Biden is right. If Obama is elected, there will be an international crisis facing the USA within the first 6 months of his term. I fear the Global War on Terror will once again be fought on OUR doorstep… Furthermore, I don’t think either one supports the welfare and moral of our troops.

#3 TAXES: Can you say “$hare the wealth”? Obama may come across as Robin Hood, but if you believe that, then you’re wrong! Robin Hood stole the taxes from the Government agents (Prince John and the Sheriff) and gave it BACK to the peasants, not vice versa.

#2 MONOPOLY: I want to counter balance the likes of liberals Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. I don’t like monopolies in the business world and I really don’t like them in MY government!

#1 LAW & ORDER: Do we need more moronic judges interpreting what’s best for me? The Constitution (and its individual rights) has done right by this country for 200+ years… leave it alone!

With a blog name like The American Apologist, I normally tend to stick to domestic issues, but in this case, I will make an exception.

An acquaintance of mine, who shall remain anonymous, lives in the Cayman Islands. He is related to a woman named Estella Scott-Roberts who was brutally murdered last weekend. Her body was found in her burning SUV on a deserted road not long after she was last seen leaving a restaurant. She was a professional woman, but she was also an outspoken advocate for abused women.  One wonders if an abusive  husband or boyfriend…

Update: just to clarify (because I think I unintentionally offended Kara) — When I said “an abusive husband or boyfriend”, I meant the abusive husband or boyfriend on one of the victims Estella helped — she was a strong advocate for abused women — I was NOT implying that her husband had anything to do with this crime. It turns out that 2 men have been arrested for this crime. Robbery and rape appear to have been the motive… I’m still disgusted.

This woman was a hero. She may be gone from this Earth, but she is not forgotten!

I know I’m behind the curve of this one, but Mr. Berg has file suit (Aug. 21, 2008) claiming that Barack isn’t a natural born citizen of the United States (for those of you who have forgotten, it is a requirement to becoming President). Watch  the video here (on YouTube) and see for yourself. I don’t know that he makes a compelling argument that Obama *isn’t* a U.S. citizen, but it certianly raises questions as to why he won’t turn over the documents…

I just don’t trust the man… I understood Bill Clinton’s appeal to the masses. He was polished and affable, but Obama seems like a con man to me… but then again, I’m from Illinois, so I see a lot of his type of politician.

I was reading one of my regular blogs today and Carol has a post about the how the Left is constantly changing the use of the English language. Her particular example had to do with the word “racialized” (which I’d never heard nor seen before), but I suppose you could easily go back 10 years or more (look here to refresh your memory about this infamous wordsmith) and see how the Elitists have attempted to hijack the english language to suit their needs.

What interested me was this comment on Carol’s post:

To which I say:

Why not? The Elitist Left are trying to control the educational system, the legal system, the medical system, the economy, the arts and (of course) the media. In fact, I think it is a foregone conclusion that they dominate the latter two systems.

All of their policies are an attempt to gain control of the political system, and ultimately, our daily lives. All through a modern implementation of socialism as inspired by Saul Alinksy.

Now, before you dismiss me as “conspiracy monger” or a member of the “radical right” — let me enlighten you to the real world.

Let me introduce the School for Designing a Society . It is located near the campus of the University of Illinois and their goal is to change society. Hell, you can even receive college credit for attending their “school”. What are their goals? This is lifted from the opening paragraphs of their web site:

We…  find that this system maintains itself at the expense of its members so that misery, poverty, hopelessness, violence, and human degradation are daily occurrences. Our social system tells us that human beings are the problem, and that it, the current system, is the solution. We have taken long looks at this system, and we do not want it. As any social system is humanly created, not natural, and is maintained daily by human action, we wish to create new social systems, and to change our daily patterns of action.

Look at that final sentence: We want to create new social systems and to change our daily patterns of action. Now, take into account the political agenda of the Left and you see why I believe this country is moving in a socialist direction — it must be stopped, and soon!

Honestly, if you were to look at virtually any other country in the world and saw these events happening, wouldn’t you soon expect either a mass revolution by the (conservative) masses, or a military coup?

Think about it. What will happen if Obama is elected and Bill Ayers & Crew get their way — and who will stop them with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid controlling the Congress — think about it. Are we entering the Second American Revolution… ?

The federal government today announced that it is changing its emblem from an Eagle to a CONDOM because it more accurately reflects the government’s political stance. A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives you a sense of security while you’re actually being screwed!

Damn, it just doesn’t get more accurate than that.

I have to admit that I did not hear all of the Presidential debate last night. I did hear the end of the debate and some of the follow-up analysis from the ABC Radio network. The commentator had “independent, undecided voters*” on the phone to give us their feedback of the debate.

First up was Larry from Colorado. He’s an out-of-work small businessman who has medical issues (pre-existing conditions) which prevent him from getting health insurance. He said really like Barrack’s stand on (Universal) Health Insurance. In case you haven’t heard, Barrack is proposing $800,000,000,000 in new spending which will include government run health care coverage. What particularly caught my ear was Larry’s closing comment: “it’s about time the government started working for us instead of us working for the government!”

Hmm…  Larry, who do you think is going to pay for the health care coverage? You and I are, my friend. According to The Tax Foundation we — working Americans — worked from Jan. 1, 2008 until April 23, 2008 to satisfy the federal bureaucracy’s asatiable appetite for our hard-earned dollars. If you add the weight of the $750 BILLION dollar bail-out to Wall Street PLUS another $800 BILLION dollars in new spending courtesy of the Obama administration, you get an additional $1.55 TRILLION DOLLARS in government programs. Where will the government get that money? Let’s step back at look at the big picture.

Where does the U.S. Government get “their” money? They take it from us under threat of penalty and imprisonment.

How do they spend it? They spend it by (essentially) buying goods and services (in this case, they are going to pay doctors to treat us) from the private sector. Even military equipment — tanks, ships and airplanes — are purchased from private, publicly-held companies.

What happens during the process? Well, that’s the problematic part: you see, a bureaucracy is large and cumbersome. It takes more time for the Government to make decisions and act upon those decisions than it does for an individual or private entity. In addition, it costs more for the Government to make the decision — you see, hundreds of government workers need to be paid for their intermediary processing actions (those are the actions which occur between you seeing the doctor and the doctor actually getting paid). In other words, it costs money to have “Government Oversight” on any social program.

What are the negatives associated with Government intervention? Well, not only does it cost more for the same services, but supply tends to decrease as the Government regulates an industry. Look at Canada and the UK where the government runs the health care industry. What do you see? You see fewer and fewer doctors entering the field of medicine and people waiting longer and longer for medical services — even emergency procedures sometimes wait months for available resources!

What else is negative about the plan? Well, because some people will be excluded from paying into the system (illegal immigrants, the poor, the old) you will now be paying for not only your health insurance, but you’ll also be paying a portion of the non-paying public too.

Note: in actuality, this currently occurs in the private sector too. When low-income patients do not pay for their services, the hospitals must increase their charges on everyone else — that’s why a box of Kleenex tissues costs $6-8 in the hospital…

So, back to our economics lesson for Larry — who is the Government? We are! Who’s money does the Government spend? Our money! Who is better able to efficiently manage our health care needs? We are!

That concludes our lesson for today, class.

Larry, for tonight’s homework… calculate how much $1.55 Trillion dollars is divided by 300 million citizens… it comes out to $5,167 per person — of course there aren’t 300 million people actually *paying* taxes (so your portion will be much higher) and half of the cost (the Wall Street bailout) shouldn’t be a recurring expense, but still, how many more days will you have to work past April 23rd to pay your taxes to Obama?

Obama is wrong for the economy.

Obama is wrong for national security.

Obama is wrong on Supreme Court appointments.

Think Right — Vote Right.

Proof Governor Palin a bisexual Pedophile?

I am confident the answer to the question posed in my headline is a resounding no, despite vicious blog attacks saying it. As is the fact Barack Obama does not pal around with terrorists, as the vice presidential candidate claimed today.

One problem though — Barry *does*, in fact, enjoy a close professional (and quite probably, a personal) relationship with Bill Ayers who is the acknowledged sixties radical who was involved in bombing The US Capital, the Pentagon, a NYC police station and several other targets within the USA.

When asked about his role in the Weather Underground and what he would do differently in hindsight (note: the reporter was obviously offering Ayers a chance to recant his terrorist ways), Professor Ayers said he didn’t do enough…

It should be noted that Ayers is a tenured professor in Education at the University of Illinois in Chicago and his wife and long-time comrade-in-arms, Bernardine Dohrn is a professor of Law at Northwestern as well as a leader in the ACLU.

In 1994, Dohrn said of her political beliefs: “I still see myself as a radical.” A year later, in an interview published in 1995, Ayers characterized his political beliefs at that time and in the 1960s and 1970s: “I am a radical, Leftist, small ‘c’ communist … [Laughs] Maybe I’m the last communist who is willing to admit it.” [from Wikipedia entries on Dohrn and Ayers]

It should also be noted that Ayers came from power and priveldge — his dad was the CEO of Commonwealth Edison and namesake of the Thomas G. Ayers College of Commerce and Industry. A leftist born with a silver spoon in his mouth — imagine that!

Perhaps when Barrack Hussein Obama says “Change you can believe in”, what he really means is “instead of bombing Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, we’ll be bombing the Pentagon and the Capitol — just like Bill Ayers!”  I am confident the answer to the question is a resounding no, but I am also confident that Obama is a Leftist just as sincerely as Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, and we can’t allow him to gain control of our democracy.
